321-Unit Multifamily in Friendship Heights Begins Pre-Leasing

Tishman Speyer has started pre-leasing for Residences at Mazza, the first new residential community to open in Friendship Heights since 2009.

Located at 5300 Wisconsin Ave NW on the same block as the Friendship Heights station on Metro’s Red Line, the luxury rental apartment will also feature a 70,000-square-foot retail concourse. The first move-ins are scheduled for late May, and retailers TJ Maxx and Total Wine & More will join the ground floor later this summer.

Designed by Danish architecture firm 3XN, the seven-story, 321-unit building features architectural ribboning on the façade and floor plans ranging from studios to three-bedroom homes, including 12 duplex townhouses and 29 penthouses. Michaelis Boyd designed the collection of best-in-class amenities.

Residences at Mazza provides immediate access to the Friendship Heights Metro station on the Red Line and access to major thoroughfares for commuters in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Also within walking distance are Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Rodman’s, Starbucks, Bloomingdale’s, Sephora, and a variety of restaurants and shops.
