3,100-Acre Wine Country Resort Acquired
Aetna Springs Resort, a 3,100-acre Wine Country asset in Napa County, has been sold. Alchemy Resorts bought the property and plans to restore the historic facility to its original grandeur through the development of a world- class luxury resort. The terms of the transaction were confidential.
The Pope Valley property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is near St. Helena and Napa. It includes approvals for an 80-room resort that integrates a number of historic structures, a winery, vineyards, mineral springs and home sites. The historic nine-hole golf course is part of the project, as well as two large development parcels around Lake Luciana and Turkey Hill.
CBRE’s Jeff Woolson, Henry Bose and Mark McDermott, as well as Compass’ Hillary Ryan and Pavi Micheli Lawson advised the undisclosed seller, reportedly the Dallas Police and Fire Department Pension Fund.
Bose says, “This is a historic hospitality site, where generations of families from San Francisco once spent their summers and enjoyed the health benefits from the mineral springs.”
