3,000 “Market Makers” Coming to San Diego for MBA CREF 2020

With the theme “Where Market Makers Meet,” the Mortgage Bankers Association will gather more than 3,000 industry members together in San Diego for this year’s edition of the Commercial Real Estate Finance/Multifamily Housing Convention & Expo (MBA CREF). It’s set for Sunday, Feb. 9 through Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

MBA CREF 2020 will feature more than 70 speakers in a mix of general and breakout sessions. Two of them, MBA chief economist Michael Fratantoni and VP of commercial/multifamily research Jamie Woodwell, will kick off the proceedings on Sunday afternoon with a one-hour session on the “Economic Outlook & CREF Market Forecast Release.”

General sessions slated for Monday and Tuesday will run the gamut from multifamily finance to CRE career development. They’ll also include Monday’s special general session, “A Conversation with Alex Rodriguez,” with MBA president and CEO Robert Broeksmit and 2020 MBA chairman Brian Stoffers interviewing the Yankee legend. Having hung up his baseball cleats, Rodriguez has excelled in multifamily investment, among other endeavors, through his A-Rod Corp.
