3 Men Movers Provides Paid Time Off for Employee Vaccinations

3 Men Movers, a woman-owned moving company in Texas, is allowing paid time off for all employees to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. Employees will be allowed to take up to four total hours of paid leave. This benefit was enacted in March 2021, a month before the announcement on tax credits for employers offering vaccine-related paid leave. While the company plans to utilize the tax credit, it touts taking the initiative on paid leave before there was a financial incentive to do so.

Several employees have already taken advantage of this paid leave, putting the company on the path of having all of its employees vaccinated. This time off is particularly beneficial because many Texas residents have to travel long distances to receive vaccinations, the company points out.

This benefit is in line with existing paid time-off measures offered by the company for election voting and volunteering. 3 Men Movers is also pursuing a plan to increase the base wage for all employees by the end of the year. In a time when other companies are making reductions, this Texas moving company is investing more in its workforce.
