$3.5B Schuylkill Yards’ Plans Unveiled

Following their recent announcement to transform 14 acres into a business innovation hub called Schuylkill Yards, Drexel University and developer Brandywine Realty Trust recently unveiled the plans. The project’s first phase will focus on the creation of Drexel Square.

The project, which will take 20 years to complete, will “stretch” Drexel University and University of Pennsylvania toward the 30th Street rail station and Schuylkill River.

Furthermore, Drexel and Brandywine will dedicate 55% of the space to offices, retail, residences and educational facilities.

SHoP Architects has been tapped to design the initial plans for the area. West8 architects is planning the landscape for the newly conceived plans.
