265-Acre Memorial City Nears Completion, as 190K-SF Office Breaks Ground
MetroNational is getting ready to complete Memorial City, its 265-acre, 2.7-million-square-foot, mixed-use development on Houston’s west side. To that end, the real estate investment, development and management company launched construction on a speculative 190,000-square-foot, nine-story office tower at 9753 Katy Fwy.
In addition to 21,000-square-foot floor plates, the property will offer first-floor retail and restaurant space, a two-level lobby with public WiFi, seating and convergence rooms and a second-level skybridge that will connect to a gated, elevated parking garage. The building, designed by Kirksey Architecture, is tracking to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
“The new office tower will mark the completion of a 2.7-million square-foot campus in Memorial City,” said MetroNational’s Jason Johnson. “This is the culmination of our long-term vision for building a city-within-a-city in West Houston, that will continue into the future.”
