$260M Ballpark Village MXU Underway in St. Louis
The St. Louis Cardinals and The Cordish Companies broke ground on a $260-million second phase of Ballpark Village in St. Louis. The 700,000-square-foot, mixed-use expansion project will complete a full build-out of the 10-acre Clark Street site by 2020.
The project includes a 29-story, 297-unit residential tower, called One Cardinal Way. A 10-story Class A office building, the first new construction in downtown in more than a generation, will be anchored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Live! By Loews – St. Louis, MO, an upscale convention hotel.
The St. Louis Cardinals’ Bill DeWitt III says phase two is more than seven times the scale of the first phase, and brings its total investment in new construction downtown to more than $750 million since 2005. “By developing new housing, Class A office space, an upscale hotel, and high quality street level retail, we are truly putting the “Village” into Ballpark Village,” he said.
