245 Park Avenue Adds New 77 K-SF Lease

SL Green Realty Corp and Vornado Realty Trust have sealed a 15-year lease renewal and expansion, securing 269,905 square feet across six floors at 280 Park Avenue in Midtown with an unidentified tenant. The building is jointly owned by SL Green and Vornado.

280 Park Avenue underwent a $150 million transformation, featuring an impressive lobby spanning the entire block front, upgraded amenities, sustainability measures, a redesigned plaza, and infrastructure enhancements.

The tenant was represented by CBRE’s Mary Ann Tighe, Ken Meyerson, Brendan Herlihy, Eric Thomas, Marlee Teplitzky, and JLL’s Evan Margolin. The joint venture was represented by Glen Weiss, Steven Durels, and the CBRE team. “This lease together with the previously announced 100,000 square foot renewal and expansion lease with one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds reaffirms the strength of the Park Avenue submarket,” said Glen Weiss, EVP of Office Leasing, Co-Head of Real Estate at Vornado, and Steven Durels, SL Green’s EVP, Director of Leasing and Real Property, speaking on behalf of the JV.
