$230M Microsoft Data Center Coming to San Antonio Suburb

Microsoft plans to open two data centers, called SAT 80 and SAT 81. The project will be 10 miles north of Castroville. The development is expected to cost $230 million.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports the company plans to build a 106,000-square-foot campus with an administrative building and two co-location centers. One of the buildings will be finished-out, the second building will be delivered as a shell.

Construction is slated to begin at the end of July. The project is expected to come online in the third quarter of 2024.

Houston-based Page Southerland Page is the architect.
