229-Unit Tempe Apartments to Open in September
Construction is expected to wrap up in September on Cabana Kyrene, a 229-unit multifamily project by Greenlight Communities. The project will be situated at the southwest corner of West Guadalupe and South Kyrene roads in Tempe. It is Greenlight’s first development in Tempe and the first workforce multifamily property in South Tempe. Cabana Kyrene’s rents will be for residents earning between 60 to 100 percent of the Area Median Income.
The development will span nearly eight acres, with six three-story buildings and a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Community amenities will include a pool, fitness center, Wi-Fi-enabled coworking spaces, landscaped courtyards with exercise stations and hammocks and two large U-shaped park areas.
The project broke ground in March 2025 on a site purchased for $7.8 million in 2023.
