$20M Renovation Underway on 1001 Fannin

FC Tower Property Partners, owner of 1001 Fannin, commenced a $20 million renovation on the office tower in downtown Houston. Upgrades to the 1.3-million-square-foot building will include an 8,000-square-foot fitness center and adjacent tenant lounge, with areas for entertainment, seating and games. Also on tap will be a renovation of the north and south exterior plazas.

The updates are scheduled for completion in mid-2020, with a building conference center to follow in 2021. The local owner has already upgraded the building’s main lobbies with new escalators, lighting and a coffee bar.

Huitt-Zollars is the architect for the project; contractors are DPR Construction for the lobby and Turner Construction for the fitness center. Forney will handle the plaza’s construction. Colvill Office Properties handles leasing. The property came on line in 1981 as First City Tower.

Connect Houston will take place Feb. 4 in Houston. For more information, or to register, click here.
