$200M Health Center Planned for Phoenix
Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University teamed up to launch the Alliance for Health Care, a model for health care education and research. The first project involved with the alliance will be a 150,000-square-foot, $200 million Health Solutions Innovation Center. Construction on the facility will commence in 2017 on the 25-acre site next to the Mayo Clinic Hospital campus at 5777 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix.
The development – and alliance – comes at a time when Mayo Clinic is expanding its medical school to Arizona in 2017. With that, the health care organization is collaborating with ASU to develop a specialized curriculum and certification in the science of health care delivery.
