Ipex builds $200M plastics plant in Pineville, NC

$200M Charlotte Plastics Plant Opens Doors

Ipex announced the opening of its $200 million, 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pineville. The facility is at 10320 Rodney St. and Ipex employs 70 people there so far. The company has plans to hire 80 more workers by the end of 2024.

The injection molding plant “will significantly increase Ipex’s U.S. production capability to manufacture fittings for plumbing, electrical, industrial, and municipal applications,” the company said.

Ipex has been in the Pineville area for over 20 years and has eight locations in North Carolina, including five manufacturing facilities and three distribution centers. The company signed a lease in 2021 for a 200,000-plus-square-foot distribution operation at Creekside Commerce Center in southwest Charlotte.

The company said it has now created nearly 700 jobs in the region.
