2.4M-SF Century Plaza Office Towers at Full Occupancy
In what is being hailed in a report by the Los Angeles Times as a validation of the strength of Century City’s office market, the Century Plaza office towers have announced achieving full occupancy for the first time ever in the duo’s four-decade history.
The pair of 44-story towers were designed by Minoru Yamasaki, developer of NYC’s World Trade Center and completed in 1975. Yamasaki also designed the nearby Century Plaza hotel.
Indeed, Century City is seeing its share of redevelopment and new energy, including the $1-billion makeover of Westfield Century City shopping center and the $2-billion project to upgrade the Century Plaza with the addition of two 46-story condominium towers in a Fairmont hotels-branded complex.
The Century Plaza Towers managing owner JPMorgan Chase & Co. and its operating partner Hines recently valued the Century Park campus at approximately $2.4 billion, a value that includes the adjacent 2000 Avenue of the Stars building.
