1M-SF Texas Tower Earns Platinum Certificate for Digital Infrastructure

Texas Tower, the 47-story, one-million-square-foot office tower under construction in downtown Houston, has achieved WiredScore’s designation of Wired Certified Platinum. The project at 800 Texas Avenue represents the first Wired Certified Platinum ground-up development in Houston.

The infrastructure and certification mean Texas Tower will be able to accommodate any tenant connectivity requests, while providing maximum redundancy to decrease downtime chances. The tower will also offer multiple internet service options for primary and back-up connections.

Hines and Ivanhoe Cambridge International are developing the building, which is expected to open in late 2021. Pelli Clarke Pelli is the designer. The building is already 33% leased.
