More than 1M SF of Office Coming to Charlotte
Charlotte, NC’s uptown area hasn’t had much in the way of office space during the past several years. But that will change next year, as more than 1.2 million square feet of new space is completed, and will deliver.
The largest property, the 638,000-square-foot 300 South Tryon, will deliver in July 2017, and is already 40% pre-leased. Barings will be the building’s anchor tenant. The other large office tower to deliver in 2017 is the 381,000-square-foot 615 South College, which is 18% pre-leased.
Including uptown, the Charlotte MSA (and surrounding counties) can expect a total of 3.1 million square feet of new office space to deliver next year. Approximately 2.2 million square feet has already been leased, and includes build-to-suit projects.
