$1B Sports-Oriented Mixed-Use Project Slated for Ocoee

Montierre Development will begin work in January on The Dynasty complex, which will feature 1,100 hotel rooms, 17 multipurpose sports fields, and 500,000 square feet of commercial retail and restaurant space at the southeast corner of Ocoee-Apopka Road and E. Fullers Cross Road. The Orlando Business Journal reports that once mass grading commences, Montierre Development will submit its final site plan layout.

Partners on the project include AECOM, Innovated Studios, and Finfrock.

The project will place a heavy emphasis on sports and entertainment. The Dynasty will join the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney and the Boombah Sports Complex in Sanford as destinations for youth sporting events.

Elsewhere, the proposed $1 billion-plus Olympus project in Clermont is expected to feature a 5,800-seat multi-use arena as part of a 60-acre sports campus that includes space for ice hockey, tennis, soccer and a fieldhouse for multiple sports.
