$1B Pediatric Hospital Planned for Atlanta
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will be building a pediatric hospital on 46 acres in the northeast Atlanta metro. The cost of the project at North Druid Hills Road and Interstate 85 in Brookhaven, GA will be in the range of $1 billion to $1.3 billion, making it Georgia’s most costly healthcare project.
Children’s Healthcare has campuses in downtown Atlanta, Sandy Springs, GA and on Clifton Road. The new facility will address space constraints, while allowing the hospital to meet forecasted patient care needs through 2026 and projected demand to 2036.
The acreage will also host a 260,000-square-foot Center for Advanced Pediatrics, which will be adjancent to the new hospital, and on which construction is underway.
