Millennium Partners Relaunches $1B Hollywood Development
New York-based Millennium Partners submitted updated plans for Hollywood Center, a $1-billion mixed-use development envisioned for 1,005 residential units in two high rises above retail and courtyard space near the Capital Records building in Hollywood. The developer says the project will feature the largest on-site affordable housing component of any market-rate development in the history of the city.
The proposed development is situated on 4.5 acres of parking lots straddling Vine Street. One tower would be 46 stories, while another will be 35 stories, with two mid-rise buildings planned for 11 stories.
Handel Architects has included 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, as well as a pedestrian promenade that cuts though the nearly one-acre site of publicly accessible open space linking Argyle and Ivar avenues. A 1,500-vehicle subterranean parking garage is planned.
The developer hopes to begin construction of Hollywood Center by 2021 or 2022. A previous plan included a gym and 100,000 square feet of office space.
