$1B Faraday Car Plant Considered for L.A. Area
Faraday Future, a new electric-car startup, is reportedly eyeing the Los Angeles area to build a new $1 billion factory.
The new company, founded by former Tesla Motors employees, is now finalizing plans at a former Nissan sales office in Gardena. Other states under consideration for the potential factory include Georgia, Nevada and Louisiana.
Faraday has an international investor it has not yet disclosed, and is now being run buy a management team.
Faraday’s executives hope to have their first car sold in 2017.
