Magnolia Property is a big player among companies that build small urban rental communities in DFW, 38 to be exact. Now, Magnolia has plans to build at The Gate, a 40 acre mixed-use development along the Dallas North Tollway near John Hickman Road.

Last year Magnolia bought three acres at The Gate and the company plans a $19 million luxury apartment complex of more than 100,000 square feet. Officials say there will be office space at ground level with the apartments going up above. They’re planning to break ground in September.   

Frisco’s $1 billion Gate mixed-use project features high-end office, retail, hotel and urban living. Located in the heart of the Frisco North Platinum corridor, The Gate offers a live-work-play environment that’s adjacent to The Star (Home of the Dallas Cowboys Training Facility) and Frisco Station.
