199 Water St. Reaches 100% Occupancy

The percentage of vacant office space is set to increase this year in Lower Manhattan as even more new towers open at the World Trade Center. But the 35-story tower at 199 Water St. is 100% occupied. Its leasing team at Cushman & Wakefield is now working on renting 413,000 square feet of space that won’t be available until the end of 2018.

“199 Water St. offers highly efficient floorplates, modern infrastructure and responsive, stable ownership, all located at the gateway to the South Street Seaport District,” said Brett Greenberg, managing director at owners Jack Resnick & Sons.

Resnick completed a major renovation and repositioning in 2014, including a lobby designed by Swanke Hayden Connell with three paintings by Frank Stella. In addition, the renovation moved building systems to upper floors, to protect them from flooding.
