1900’s FW Building Finds New Purpose
It started out in 1912 as the Mulholland Printing Company. The Dallas Business Journal reports since then, The 112-year-old building has been home to all sorts of businesses; from apartments to a washateria.
The building is located between the Fort Worth Stockyards and Panther Island. The building owners at 1332 N. Main St. plan to turn them into retail space and apartments. They hope to convert the building into 24,000 square feet of retail on the ground floor, with about 16 one-bedroom apartments on the second floor.
Gyant Properties is seeking state and federal historic status for the buildings, which would keep the building three stories or less. Gyant is currently working on preserving and restoring the interior space. The Fort Worth Zoning Commission is scheduled to consider on April 10 a request to rezone the buildings to high intensity mixed-use.
Fort Worth architecture firm 97w is working on the project.
