$18M Food Court Debuts in Charlotte

The developers say there is something for everyone. The Charlotte Observer reports the developer, Crescent Communities, will open the Monarch Market food court at One Independence Center later this week. It will include seven food vendors on opening day, from Tex-Mex to burgers to kababs. There is room for two more food vendors. The 18,000-square-foot food hall will also include two bars, the Aster Cocktail Room and the Lanai Terrace Bar. Hospitality HG will operate the Monarch Market.

Eimer Design was tapped for architecture and interiors of the Monarch Market project; JE Dunn served as the general contractor. Nuveen Real Estate was an equity partner. PNC Bank, U.S. Bank and First National Bank of Pennsylvania were utilized for financing.
