186-Acre Margaritaville Resort Heads to Lake Conroe

Margaritaville Holdings, in partnership with Songy Highroads (SHR) and The Wampold Cos. are planning a Margaritaville Resort for Montgomery, TX, at Lake Conroe. The 186-acre property, approximately one hour north of Houston, currently holds the 445-key La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, which SHR acquired.

The renovations at 600 La Torretta Blvd. will update guest rooms. Two of the existing restaurants will be converted into LandShark Bar & Grill and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, two Margaritaville brands. Other upgrades will include an 18-hole golf course, tennis facilities, a spa, additional restaurants, outdoor pools, and 45,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space. The resort is scheduled to open in Q3 2020.

Atlanta-headquartered SHR and Wampold, based in Baton Rouge, LA, will serve as the resort’s co-managers. Benchmark Global Hospitality will be the resort manager.
