$165M Perm Financing Secured for Downtown Denver’s Dairy Block Portfolio

A joint venture partnership between McWhinney, Grand American and Sage Hospitality secured $165 million in permanent financing for Dairy Block, Denver’s newest micro-district. The three project components include Dairy Block office space totaling six stories and 218,660 square feet of newly-built space, plus a 380-space subterranean parking garage; an historic Firehouse Block containing 92,803 square feet of office and retail; and the 172-key Maven Hotel.

The project is envisioned as an environment where makers are celebrated. That includes a vibrant community of inspired retailers, chefs, creators and cocktail crafters. It is all integrated together with office tenants, as well as a highly-curated boutique hotel, in the heart of LoDo encompassing an entire city block between Wazee, Blake, 18th and 19th Streets.

HFF’s Eric Tupler and Brock Yaffe worked to secure the long-term debt with MetLife Investment Management. Loan proceeds were used to refinance the construction loan on the property.
