1,600-Acre Ranch Slated for Residential Development

Rockspring Capital, headquartered in Houston, sold the Ranches of San Geronimo, a 1,590-acre property northwest of San Antonio to Southerland Communities. The buyer plans to change the name to Canyon Creek Preserve, and develop 25-acre ranches.

George Herrera with McAlister Real Estate was the property’s listing broker.

The acreage is 24 miles out of San Antonio, near S.H. 14 and Park Road 37 in Helotes, TX. According to David Orr with Rockspring Capital, the property is the largest asset sold by the firm in the San Antonio area.

“We look forward to closing other valuable assets throughout Texas in the near future,” he said.
