16-Acre Miami Infill Lot on the Block

A Biscayne Boulevard parcel that would allow 2,300 multifamily residences is being auctioned off. Before the pending auction, the Melo Group offered up a stalking horse bid of $35 million. The 15.9-acre tract of vacant land is in the city of Miami and the village of El Portal at 8500 Biscayne Blvd. The land used to be the site of Little Farm Trailer Park.

Marketed as Biscayne 85, the property is being sold by Michael Fay and Avison Young principals Jay Ziv, John K. Crotty, David Duckworth, and Brian C. de la Fé.

The S. Florida Business Journal reports interested buyers will have until January 10 to submit their bids, the court stated. A live auction will be held at the Miami office of Akerman LLP at 98 Southeast 7th St., Suite 1100, on January 15. The court will hold a hearing to approve the sale on January 16.
