$15M Renovation of Seattle Office Building Announced

Lake Washington Partners LLC, a Puget Sound-based, family-owned commercial real estate investor and developer focused on office and industrial properties, announced that it will invest $15 million into 1800 Ninth Avenue, a landmark office building in the heart of Denny Triangle.

The investment will support the renovation of the 321,707-square-foot, fully vacant office tower. As part of the renovation, Lake Washington Partners has renamed the building Axis9.

“The Emerald City has been home to some of the greatest companies in the world, and we are seeing the early stages of a renaissance in downtown office demand and occupancy,” said Lake Washington Partners President Jordan Lott. “With Amazon’s return to full-time in-office work and Starbucks encouraging something similar, we believe that other Seattle employers will follow suit, and this positive trend toward the resurgence of downtown will continue to grow.”

Lake Washington Partners will invest approximately $15 million to transform the building’s amenity suite, which currently includes conference and meeting spaces, a 10,000-square-foot fitness center, and a high-end retail coffee shop.
