136-Unit Seniors Housing Planned for Cibolo

Casa Linda Development, headquartered in Dallas, and Los Angeles-based Highridge Costa Housing are getting ready to develop El Sereno, a 136-unit seniors housing project. The $21 million project will be in Cibolo, TX, a suburb northeast of San Antonio. Groundbreaking has been delayed, due to Hurricane Harvey.

The housing will offer one- and two-bedroom apartments, with 119 units dedicated to residents earning 30%-60% of the area median income. The remaining 17 units will be offered at the market rate. As an affordable community, El Sereno was awarded $1.6 million in annual tax credits over a 10-year period by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.

Humphreys & Partners is the architect of record.
