Infrastructure Funding Needed for $130M Indian Wells Hotel, Condo Project

Irvine, CA-based TMC Group is moving forward on the proposed $130-million Indian Wells Hospitality Project in Indian Wells, CA. The 10-acre site at the corner of Highway 111 and Miles Avenue is now planned as a 139-room boutique hotel, 31 villas and 56 residential condominiums.

The developer requested $7.2 million in city funding to help pay for $9 million in public infrastructure improvements surrounding the site. Without the public funds, TMC says the project would most likely be unfeasible.

TMC plans to begin construction of the hotel and villas next summer with an anticipated completion date in 2019, when the condominiums would also be delivered. The project includes a five-story hotel with a rooftop pool, bar and restaurant, with some of the stand-alone villas envisioned to have private pools.
