13 Texas Cities Are on “Best Cities to Live in America” List

Niche released its “Best Cities to Live in America” list, and 13 Texas cities are ranked in the top 100. Four of those 13 made it to the top 20: The Woodlands (near Houston); Plano and Richardson (suburbs of Dallas) and Round Rock (a suburb of Austin). In terms of major metros, Austin came in 22nd, Houston was ranked 57th, Dallas was at No. 80, while San Antonio was ranked 90th.

Niche, which provides neighborhood research to consumers, based its best cities list on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities and local amenities. Also included were the percentage of residents who had bachelor’s degrees or higher.
