Irvine Co. Initiates 1M-SF Office Campus in Quail Hill
Irvine Company is moving forward on a nine-building office campus totaling more than one-million square feet in Irvine, CA’s Quail Hill community. The 106-acre site is located in the Spectrum Terrace project, along Interstate 405 near the 133 interchange.
Plans for an office campus at the site were approved by the City Council in September 2000 through a General Plan amendment and zone change, that also included housing and other developments. The city recently issued a preliminary rough grading permit for the Spectrum Terrace site.
The project is set to be reviewed by the planning commission early next year, and Irvine Co. will also need to secure additional permits such as structural building. Construction is anticipated to commence by May 2018, with the first phase of three, four-story commercial real estate buildings envisioned to deliver in a year or so and the balance of the project within two to three years.
