112-Acre Carmel Valley Site Claimed for Wetlands Restoration Project
The State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) acquired a 111.6-acre land parcel in Carmel Valley for more than $2.7 million. The agency plans a wetlands restoration project on the site.
Colliers International’s David Santistevan, Erin McKinley, Gunder Creager and Ciara Trujillo represented Caltrans, as well as the seller, the Barczewski Trust.
“This acquisition will set aside permanent open space, create wetlands and preserve the site for the Carmel Valley community,” said Santistevan.
The property is located south of Highway 56 at Rancho Santa Fe Farms Road in McGonigle Canyon.
