$108M in Residential Construction Approved

More than $108 million in residential construction was approved in Edinburg TX between January-September 2016. The reason is because the population continues to increase, according to the Edinburg Economic Development Corp.

Specifically, 357 single-family permits (valued at $37.1 million) were issued from January-September, while 230 multifamily residences were permitted, representing 928 units, at a value of $61.6 million. The most recent population estimates show the city grew by more than 13% between April 1, 2010 and July 1, 2015. The estimated population was 84,497 as of July 1, 2015, versus the 74,541 reported in April 1, 2010.
