Nordstrom Rack Takes Over Toys “R” Us Site

Nordstrom Rack is slated to fill a former Toys “R” Us space later this year at the Irvine Company Retail Properties’ The Market Place in Tustin. The department outlet is expanding to a 32,500-square-foot space.

Nordstrom operates 22 traditional and 31 Rack stores across Southern California. Last month, Toys “R” Us decided to close its Tustin location, citing poor performance.

The Market Place is set to welcome seven new food establishments in 2016, ranging from FROZEN Decadent Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream and Texas de Brazil, to Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, Nekter Juice Bar, California Fish Grill and Luna Grill.
