100K-SF Hamden Center II Sells in 1031 Exchange
Hamden Realty Associates ended its two-decade hold on the 100,000-square-foot, mixed-use Hamden Center II in Hamden, CT by selling it in an off-market transaction. Private buyer ,C.A. White, paid $10 million for the property as part of a 1031 exchange from an apartment building sale.
Situated at 2321 Whitney Ave., Hamden Center II consists of 80,000-square-feet of office space, 20,000-square-feet of retail space and a three-story parking garage. According to Stephen Press with Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services, who handles leasing for the mixed-use property, Hamden Center II was well-managed, with a good tenant roster.
“It’s a well-positioned property,” he told the New Haven Register. “And there’s not a lot of Class A office space being built in New Haven County.”
