100,000 New Jobs for NYC
New York City has a plan to create 100,000 new jobs over the next 10 years.
“These are the fast-growing, high-paying industries that represent the future of our city, but only if we invest now in the places, the workforce and the infrastructure to compete,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio.
The plan includes 25 initiatives, ranging from a plan to establish NYC as a cybersecurity hub, to appointing NYC’s first Nightlife Ambassador supporting the nightlife and live music industry.
There’s also a plan to spur office development in new markets — including the outer boroughs.
