Grandscape, the 433-acre, massive mixed-use development in The Colony, TX, is now on tap to receive a 100-acre lifestyle center. The as-yet unnamed lifestyle center will create approximately 1.5 million square feet of residential, office and entertainment to the development, which is anchored by Nebraska Furniture Mart, and backed by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.
Though construction is underway on the Far North Dallas area project, the exact footprint hasn’t yet been determined. The new tenants will include previously announced anchors Scheels All Sports and Galaxy Theaters. In addition, two restaurants, Thirty Lion and Twigs Bistro, will open in fall 2017.
“We want to bring in first-in-the-state venues, and stay true to the differentiated tenant mix,” Grandscape’s Jeff Lind told the Dallas Business Journal. “We are not approaching this like a typical developer. We have extremely patient capital, and nothing has changed from our original vision.”
