Attleboro Golf Course Poised for Sale as Redevelopment Opportunity

After more than seven decades as a fixture in the Attleboro, MA community, Stone-E-Lea Golf Course is preparing to close at the end of 2026. Attention now turns to the future of the approximately 140-acre, family-owned site at 1411 County St. and the opportunities it presents for redevelopment.

To oversee the property’s sale and redevelopment marketing efforts, the ownership has tapped 128 CRE, a Massachusetts-based commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm. SVP David P. Linehan, SIOR, will lead the assignment alongside Adam T. Meixner, Jeremy A. Freid, SIOR, and Tyler J. Capecci, SIOR.

“Stone-E-Lea has been part of the Attleboro community for more than seven decades, and its history deserves to be recognized as we look toward the future of the property,” said Linehan. “Opportunities of this scale, particularly with visibility along Interstate 95, are extremely rare. We’re looking forward to working with the ownership and prospective developers to identify the best path forward for this unique property.”
