Taiwan Chip Maker Eyes Fort Worth for $1.3B Plant

King Yuan Electronics, a Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer, paid nearly $80 million for a cleanroom facility in Fort Worth. The company acquired the 27-acre property at 273 W. Everman Pkwy. The Everman Parkway location is part of the Fort Worth South Business Park.

The company’s first U.S. manufacturing plant would be an estimated $1.3 billion investment that could create 630 jobs by the end of 2031. King Yuan’s plans call for the company to invest at least $1 billion in real property and $300 million in equipment.

The company would conduct research and development, as well as testing, of semiconductors for next-generation GPUs and superchips. Additionally, it will provide testing services for Nvidia.

Wistron Corp. opened two supercomputer manufacturing plants worth $761 million in the AllianceTexas facility in Fort Worth this year as part of a partnership with the company.
