University of Idaho Opens 451-Bed Student Housing Property

Gilbane and Rocky Mountain Companies, along with University of Idaho, celebrated the ribbon cutting of Vandal Village, a graduate and family housing complex on U of I’s Moscow campus.

Located at 1010 Deakin Ave, the 200,000-square-foot complex encompasses 240 units, offering two- to four-bedroom plans. Designed to meet a range of housing needs, the development encompasses 451 total beds, including 232 for graduate students and 219 for married and parenting students. The initiative is part of a $135 million renovation and redevelopment of South Hill and Elmwood Apartments, the Wallace Residence Center and the Theophilus Residence Building.

Joining Jeffrey Resetco, Senior Development Director at Gilbane, and Scott Green, President at University of Idaho, at the ribbon cutting ceremony were Blaine Eckles, Vice Provost and Dean of Student Affairs at University of Idaho, and Abagail Ikari, student at University of Idaho. The project team included Gilbane Development and Rocky Mountain Companies as the master developer team, Lydig as the contractor and Integrus and Design Collective as architects.
