Sagard, La Caisse Acquire East Bay Industrial Outdoor Storage

Sagard Real Estate (SRE) on Wednesday announced the acquisition of 6691 Clark Ave., a fully leased industrial outdoor storage (IOS) property in Newark, within the infill East Bay submarket. Seller and pricing were not disclosed. The acquisition marks the second Bay Area IOS investment and further expands the IOS joint venture between SRE and global investment group La Caisse.

The fully secured, paved, and lit 2.84-acre site includes an approximately 22,100-square-foot industrial building with 22-foot clear heights, making it suitable for contractor yard/materials storage, equipment rental and sales, light distribution, and other mission-critical IOS uses.

“Newark’s access to the East Bay’s transportation network is central to the appeal of this investment,” said Tom Stover, managing director, acquisitions at SRE. “The property combines that connectivity with a secured, functional site in a supply-constrained infill market. As we pursue additional IOS acquisitions in the Bay Area, our focus remains on established infill locations with outdoor space and access to regional transportation infrastructure that support the day-to-day operations of industrial users.”
