ORIX Acquires Buckhead Apartments for $83M

ORIX Corporation inked an $83 million loan from New York Life to finance the acquisition of AMLI Lenox, a 391-unit luxury multifamily community in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. It’s located at 3478 Lakeside Dr. NE. AMLI Residential was the seller. The development will be renamed Akari Buckhead.

The financing was arranged by CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance team led by Robert LaChapelle and Blake Cohen. New York Life provided the financing. The CBRE Southeast multifamily team of Shea Campbell, Ahish Cholia, Colleen Hendrix, and Don Hoffman arranged the sale of the property on behalf of the seller. 

Completed in 2020, AMLI Lenox is a 24-story multifamily tower comprising 391 units. The property was 96% occupied at the time of financing. The community serves as a centerpiece of AMLI’s 1,302-unit, four-property campus surrounding the 1.5-acre Marie Sims Park in Buckhead.
