Race Rock Spending $100M on Brookshire Expansion

Race Rock, a manufacturer and distributor of steel infrastructure products for the utility, highway, and energy markets, broke ground on a $100M expansion in Brookshire, Texas. The new manufacturing facility will produce transmission and substation structures to meet the country’s infrastructure needs.

The new facility will be constructed adjacent to Race Rock’s existing manufacturing operations in Brookshire, founded in 1988 as Orizon Industries and acquired by Race Rock in 2025. When the new facility is completed, the combined campus will span approximately 100 acres, including over 750,000 square feet under roof, and provide jobs for more than 500 skilled employees in Waller County.

Brookshire, located in Waller County, was selected because of the growing construction of residential and multi-family residences, retail operations, medical expansion, and manufacturing.
