AI Company Databricks Doubles Midtown Space to 120K SF

Artificial intelligence company Databricks is expanding its New York City, doubling its office space at 5 Bryant Park to approximately 120,000 square feet across five floors. The San Francisco-based data software provider established a Manhattan research and development office at the beginning of 2026.

The company did not disclose lease terms. 5 Bryant Park’s ownership is represented by a CBRE team of Neil King, Paul Amrich, Meghan Allen and Kelly Tipton.

In a blog posting announcing the expansion, Databricks VP Tasso Argyros wrote, “Our NYC engineering team is already shaping the future of enterprise AI, from foundational research to the products that put AI to work for the world’s largest organizations. Our NYC office is one of the largest concentrations of AI research talent in the city.” He added that the company plans to increase its local headcount.

AI leasing in Manhattan for the first half of 2026 reached 2.2 million square feet, more than double the 12-month total for 2025, according to the Partnership for New York City.
