Bic Inks Plan to Move Offices from Shelton to Norwalk
Bic, the global maker of ballpoint pens and disposable razors, has decided to relocate its U.S. corporate offices 20 miles southwest within Connecticut’s Fairfield County. Currently located at 1 BIC Way in Shelton, the company will lease a 32,000-square-foot space in the 501 building of the Merritt 7 office park in Norwalk. The new location will serve as Bic’s North American headquarters starting in the second quarter of 2027, housing approximately 200 full-time positions in teams ranging from sales and marketing to supply chain.
The France-based company noted that the relocation only applies to Bic’s North America corporate office and will not impact its lighter manufacturing plant in Milford, CT. Bic is currently evaluating options for its Shelton property.
“The move of BIC’s corporate office reflects the evolving needs of BIC and its team members as a global business,” the company said in a statement. “With a presence in Connecticut dating back to 1958, the company is pleased to remain in the area and to continue contributing to the broader region.”
