AT&T Reveals Construction Schedule of $1.3B Plano Campus

Construction of the new AT&T headquarters planned in Plano is expected to begin in December. The $1.3 billion campus will include numerous buildings ranging in size from 225,000 to 680,000 square feet, making up over 2.3 million square feet of office space. The facility will include over 2.5 million square feet for parking garages. The project is expected to be under construction through 2029. KDC is developing the project.

The city approved a $20 million economic incentive for the headquarters. AT&T will be required to meet employment benchmarks in exchange for the incentive. The facility is expected to bring 10,000 jobs to the region by 2039.

The future headquarters of AT&T was the former Electronic Data Systems (EDS) campus site. Demolition of Ross Perot’s former EDS campus is still ongoing at the 54-acre site along Legacy Drive and Parkwood Boulevard.
