Casa Grande Advances 954-Acre Data Center Campus

LKY Development Company was greenlit by a Casa Grande planning agency to develop a 954-acre data center campus at Montgomery Road and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. Casa Grande is between Phoenix and Tucson.

AZBEX reports LKY is looking for a buyer to purchase the Grande Valley Industrial site and take over development. The project will incorporate low- to zero-ongoing water consumption cooling technologies, sustainable building practices, and low-emission/de minimis on-site electrical generation. As currently designed, the campus is not anticipated to rely on a traditional electric grid connection for primary power service. Bloom Energy will handle the power generation component.

The project will feature multiple data center buildings, on-site natural gas power generation and a battery energy storage system. The data centers will incorporate now-standard closed-loop cooling systems to minimize water use and environmental impacts.

Development is planned in two phases.
