Space Craft Building 4th Charlotte Optimist Park Rental Community

Space Craft is moving ahead on Mira, a $122 million mixed-use development in Charlotte’s Optimist Park that will bring 371 apartments and 9,765 square feet of retail to 2323 N. Davidson St. Construction is expected to begin this fall, with an anticipated opening in fall 2028. The eight-story development will include 8,000 square feet of amenity space. Mira will be Space Craft’s fourth community within the same neighborhood.

Anchor Loans is providing a $70.6 million senior construction loan.

The community will occupy the site formerly home to the Textile Rubber & Chemical Company, which operated there from the 1950s through 2023.

Residents will have access to a rooftop terrace and lounge with skyline views, a coworking lounge and mezzanine library, expanded fitness and yoga spaces, and a third-floor outdoor spa area with Space Craft’s first on-site pool.

Mira was designed by Philippe Le Quellec, with Shook Kelley as the architect of record and Elford as the general contractor.
